Geomeo Informatics hit victorious in the Cyberport Incubation Program 2019
It’s been a very proud moment for GeoMeo informatics that we were able to secure seed funding of HK 500K Dollar from Cyberport. Cyberport is a community of around 1400companies managed by Hongkong Cyberport Management Company Limited and owned by Hongkong SAR Government.
The community by collaborating with local and international partners aims to bring committed entrepreneurs together in order to support their startups to build a strong entrepreneurial ecosystem. With a committed set of individuals, Cyberport has acted as a catalyst in growing major technology-based applications namely FinTech, Smart living, digital entertainment & esports. It also being encouraging Technology development such as Artificial intelligence (AI) & big data, blockchain and cybersecurity.
It invites applications from all around the world throughout the year from dedicated entrepreneurs for its Incubation Programme named “Cyberport Incubation Programme“. The programme aimed to provide the necessary support to the entrepreneurs and startups to help them accelerate their growth by offering resources and tech support.
To be a part of its incubation programme a startup should be a Hong Kong-based start-up or company seeking acceleration towards attaining growth. The startup should be ready with its product for marketing in 12-18 months. A digitally registered privately-owned tech company incorporated in Hong Kong for less than 7 years.
As a part of the incubation programme the selected incubatees get up to HK$500,000 and a 24month support. Along with it there the following will also be provided to the incubatees which includes a grant of HK$100,000 as Initial Working Capital. Up to HK$20s 0,000 grant will be allocated upon completion of Six-monthly Progress Reviews and HK$200,000 for Performance-driven 2-Tiered Assessment, which covers the following areas Business Performance, Accumulated Investment Raised, Industrial Recognition, Overseas or Mainland China Expansion, Talents Development, Cyberport Engagement, Rent-free working space is allocated to the incubatees who are willing to work on-site at Cyberport and knowledge sharing is encouraged through allowing free access for Cyberport meeting rooms, conference rooms, co-working spaces and other facilities.
